MASTER'S OBJETIVES AND TARGET AUDIENCE

Directed to students holding a Bachelor Degree, specially in Social and Human Sciences, as preparation for professional activity at public or private entities with an international outlook, chambers of commerce, ONGs, offices of foreign trade, political bureaus, media centers, public relations, embassies and consulates, centers directed to the education and integration of immigrants, social workers, county and regional Cultural offices, town-hall Cultural offices, etc.
Objectives: (a) Furnishing a thorough knowledge of the different cultures, their interaction, and their incidence on supranational regulations and global interchange. (b) Delivering a basic knowledge of what is emerging as a global law, a global market, an intercultural rationality and an intercultural humanism. (c) Preparing professionals to address and solve the problems and difficulties regarding the relationships among groups from different cultures, especially among the Islamic-Hebrew cultures, Oriental cultures (Japanese, Chinese and Indian) and Western cultures.

Degree: Master from the University of Seville. Degree awarded by the University of Seville. 
Academic Organization: University of Seville, Vicerrectorate of Postgraduate Studies. With the collaboration of Faculty experts from Soka University of America. 
Academic Characteristics:
64 credits ECTS = 640 contact hours, plus 960 hours of research and individual work.
1 credit ECTS = 10 contact hours, plus 15 hours of research and individual work.
16 subject matters. 4 credits per subject matter (40 contact hours per subject matter).
Maximum number of students in the Program: 50.

Class Schedule

Classes begin: October 1, 2007.
Classes end: June 20, 2008.
All subject matters will be taught in two consecutive week periods, following the sequence established for each Module of the Curriculum.
Master Thesis submission deadline: September 15, 2008.


Evaluation and Graduation Requirements

In order to obtain the Master's Degree all students need to pass satifactorily all oral or written tests on each subject matter, as specified by the course professor(s). In addition, all candidates to Graduation will prepare a Master's Thesis/Project (50 to 100 pages) on a topic related to any of the subject matters studied. The Thesis' topic needs to be approved by the Academic Committee, and will be directed and supervised by one of the Master´s Coordinators. The deadline for final submission of the Thesis is September 15, 2008.
